Poor maintainance, incorrect driving style or short journeys add to the problem, along with sensor failure and general lack of knowledge about this complex system.

We can diagnose and correct system faults aswell as having the ability, experience & knowledge to remove the entire DPF infractructure, leaving your vehicle free of any futher DPF hassles. This not only benefits low milage users, but also performance based tuning projects, as the massive restriction of the DPF core really limits possible gains by sapping engine power (BHP) and lowering fuel economy (MPG).For example - If a vehicle has been used on frequent short motorway journeys this does not allow the passive regeneration process of the DPF filter to occur (a DPF 'cleaning' cycle) and instead an active regeneration process is begun which then uses additional fuel and contaminates the engine's oil supply. By removing the restrictive DPF core, along with changing the engine management software, we can achieve greater MPG and BHP figures, with no need for over frequent oil changes.

DPF diagnostics is £49.99 (incl. VAT) and DPF removal starts at £250 + VAT, dependant upon make, model & age of vehicle. However, the DPF diagnostic test fee is discounted from the final bill if DPF removal is subsequently carried out.
